Continuing her series of gel plate printing workshops, this month Karen will dive into different types of paper. You’ve probably tried printer/copy paper and “deli” paper on the gel plate. Maybe even card stock or Bristol for finished prints. Have you tried medical exam headrest paper? Rice paper? Wet strength tissue paper? Tea bag paper? Book pages? Karen will bring all of these (and probably more) to demonstrate and for you to try. She has spent the last two months experimenting with different types of paper. As always, Karen will discuss what inspires her and share examples. In January, there will be a workshop about how to collage directly on the gel plate. So come make some new prints on new papers in December and then bring them in January for collaging on the plate. Come have fun, print, and make friends.
